Call to Mind exists to support people who experience mental health challenges, from a Christian perspective.
We aim to
Support the spiritual lives of Christians living with mental health challenges
Help churches and individual Christians respond to those with mental health challenges in pastorally helpful ways, by education and campaigning
Provide a place of hospitality and community, to enable Jesus’ healing work in individual lives through conversations, word, prayer and sacrament
Our values. We...
Are led by Christians who experience mental health challenges, both in our project team and in responding to those who the project supports
Give an affirming voice to the experiences of Christians who experience mental health issues
Are Ecumenical - Christians from all denominational backgrounds and types of church are welcome and should be made to feel at home
Welcome those who are interested in but not committed to Christian faith.
Avoid complex theological language
Avoid religious language which focuses on blame, shame and guilt
Commit to providing a safe space, by embedding good safeguarding practice in all our work, and a zero tolerance approach to critical and abusive comments.
